Kicking Aids Out at the East Africa Cup

The East Africa Cup was privileged to host the first Kicking Aids Out courses in the shadows of Mt Kilimanjaro in Moshi, Tanzania.

Partner organisations were from Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda  and Tanzania, as well as the Community Development Resource Association (CDRA). Facilitators from Kicking Aids Out partner organizations and MYSA (Mathare Youth Sports Association), CHRISC (Christian Sports Contact East Africa) carried out the training in which a total of 31 leaders were trained. In addition the region is proud to have the first two master trainers,  namely Edwin Wesonga from MYSA Kenya and Paul Otieno from CHRISC East Africa.

The Kicking Aids Out resource team - together with the trained leaders - were excited to take part in the seventh edition of the East Africa cup where a total number of 64 teams from five  countries (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda and Zambia) started their matches. All players attended education seminars and workshops before their games.
